In practice, it is part of many systems ranging from chatbots and machine translation to analysis of news articles, legal documents, or social media posts. Financial gain from the sale is going to be reinvested in primary activities of the University. CUIP signed a license agreement on behalf of the Charles University with a Czech company Geneea Analytics s.r.o. Based on this agreement, the company is going to offer and license software, models, and data developed at the Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University. This deal resolves both searching for and reaching potential customers and tackling any illegal software distribution.
