Charles University, CUIP and the Commissioner General of EXPO 2025 signed a cooperation agreement.
Charles University and its subsidiary CUIP a.s. signed a joint memorandum of cooperation with the Office of the Commissioner General of the Czech Republic’s participation in the Universal World Expo. The aim of the Memorandum is to prepare the Czech participation to show the Czech Republic at EXPO 2025 as a modern country with a high level of science and its practical application as well as a promising country for investments and development of innovative business. EXPO 2025 will be held in Osaka, Japan, from April to October 2025.
Charles University Innovations Prague, a leading Czech transfer company representing Charles University, the most powerful scientific institution in the Czech Republic, is honoured to invite other universities and research institutions to a roundtable to present the Czech Republic as a partner in addressing the major challenges of today’s world – sustainability, security and harnessing the potential of innovation.
During the Czech-Asian Innovation Week, which will take place as part of EXPO 2025, the Czech Republic will have the opportunity to reveal the amazing results of Czech scientists to the world and introduce innovative Czech companies. The preparations for the Innovation Week will be coordinated by CUIP on behalf of Charles University with the aim to involve as many Czech scientific institutions as possible. All parties hope to attract new major investors to the Czech Republic and to expand the cooperation between Czech and Japanese universities and the scientific research centres as well. Last but not least, the preparations should increase the awareness and interest in the Czech Republic on a global scale.
